Happiness lies beneath our lives

by LadzOfSoul   Jun 11, 2008

She was crying, rushing to her room
Blurred by tears, she closed the door
Tormented by pain, she laid on the floor

There she was, holding a knife
Screaming all the hurt that she kept inside
Inch by inch, the knife thrust into her skin
It goes deeper with every single lie he said

The blood scattered on the floor
Red fluid that she tried to ignore
All in her head was the man she love
Kissing a friend that she once had

And now that the darkness filled her room
Hoping the lies vanished as she close her eyes
And the pain to subside before her last breath lies.
For they said "Happiness lies beneath our lives"
