A Letter To End With.

by Spoken Silence   Jun 11, 2008

A letter to end with,

Just before I slit my wrists,
I wrote with a pen,
Just before I took those pills,
I wrote a letter to end with.

Dearest love,
I'm sorry that you have to read
A letter tucked in my pocket,
While I lie motionless in bed.
But I couldn't just leave without a word,
I needed a letter to end with.

I'm sorry that I made you cry,
And cost you all those sleepless nights.
But the other day I realized,
A way to make it better.

There's money in the dresser,
And there's food in the fridge.
You're going to be fine, so don't shed a tear my dear,
Call your family and say I said hi.

The bills are paid,
And the house is yours.
No need to worry,
I told you I would make things better,
So don't shed a tear my dear you're going to be fine.

It's so very emotional and sensitive. A very tragic write. I must say it's a good one. Keep writing!

This was good. It was sad. For being written like a letter, you did a good job. yeah, there isn't much to say. I didn't see a single flaw in this poem, 5/5
