She's not okay

by stillmomsgirl   Jun 12, 2008

She is standing there.
Can no one see her?
Can no one hear her screams?
Can no one see the tears she tries to hide?
Can no one feel her heart crumbling?
Of course no one can see her,
they won't take the time to look.
Because if they see her,
they will see pain.
They will see a girl who's falling apart,
a girl who doesn't know how to cope.
They're afraid to see her
because then they'd have to admit
she's not okay.

Wow, what a wonderful poem, it was really touching.People only see what they want to see and they don't want to tire them selves in helping people who are in pain.
    I really can feel you.

I can relate to this poem more than I'd like to admit. All the questions at the beginning really made an impact and set the emotional tone.

-----> They're afraid to see her
because then they'd have to admit
    she's not okay
`` I think this was a very strong ending. It stuck with me after I read it. I guess because i could relate to it so much.

Check your punctuation and capitalization, though. It'll make the poem a lot more enjoyable to read. x]

    Keep writing!
