I Know What You Do

by Lori   Jun 12, 2008

As I play my guitar
In sorrow and heartbreak
I've noticed tears don't get far
From people who are heartless and fake

Each day I walk with my head up high
I turn, see the faces that make my only confidence fly

I know you don't like me
I know that person is you
I know exactly what you say
I know what you do

I know your plan
I see how you work
You only accept people who are "cool"
But for more attention, you lurk

Just because you hurt other people
Doesn't mean you don't know what you give
You make everyone pay for your pain
Even though you wish it's our lives you could live

I see what you're made of
All your makeup and disguise
You have no happiness and no love
Anyone can see it in your eyes

I see all the hurtful remarks you make
I see everything you promise are lies
You obviously have something at stake
Since it's you everyone tends to despise

I understand the feeling
After everything I've been through
I recognize the damage
I know what you do

I wasn't feeling this one, I'm not sure why. It seemed fine, but I had trouble focusing and staying with it. The flow was a little rocky, and rhyming seemed a little forced. It was just okay, but I know you're capable of so much more. :)

    My honest critique: 3/5

People like this... ugh, why can't everyone accept everybody for who they are you know?

well good point you wrote about here, the ryme and flow was extremely well done.

    5/5

keep the good work up :]

I think everyone can relate to this in some way, just like everyone can relate in a different way, but be connected through this piece.
It was strong, and emotional. The entire piece was powerful. I love the way you say it all.
Wonderful, amazing, creative, and a little depressing.
