The second hand puppet

by Lemonbread   Jun 12, 2008

Once upon a time, there was a puppet
Whom had a life that was not well spent
She lived in a second hand shop with no one
Where it was boring and nothing to do for fun

She was dull and gray with tangled strings
And when hugged a sombre tune she sings
About a longing for love and hope
Which could make a heart begin to mope

She had no heart, it was missing for a while
Which made her look glum and sound vile
She was waiting, waiting for one boy
To realize her heart wasn't a toy

Then one day, while looking out the window
She spotted a handsome looking fellow
A warming smile and kind green eyes
How foolish she thought, wishing for lies

The man noticed her and they stared
From that moment she knew he cared
'Please good sir, do you have my heart?
Its crimson and about to fall apart!'

He entered the shop and held her
Then a strange thing happened to occur
He took her home and they stayed together
With the feeling of love that will last forever
