Otherwise Known As

The attraction is still there
If the affection isn't
And the attention isn't needed
As the alienation begins
With the way they are affected
All attentive to one another
The affection is a distant memory
As the attraction is isolated
Even as they are alienated
Their bodies are affected
And they are physically attentive
If not passionately affectionate
And the lust beyond mere attraction
The alienation melts away
And the climax affects
The attraction is still smouldering
And the affection burns anew
The attention is single-minded
And the alienation is gone
With the way they are affected.
