He is the reason I'm drunk

by Bettina   Jun 12, 2008

Here I stand before you
more drunk than ever
here I stand before you
more in love with you than ever.

Here I lay for you
more betrayed than ever
here I lay before you
I will never forgive you-never.

I become sober when I remember the pain
I become weaker having lost the gain
Here I lay, beaten at your game
Here I go again-drinking-what a shame.

You without me, what a grace
me without you, a memory of your face
After my 10th vodka drink
Into my mind and soul deeper you sink

Here I lay again without my gain
all the alcohol washed away my pain
all the memories seem to fade away
as you moved on and I have stayed.

Your face fixed upon my mind
all our life together I now rewind
and I think of everything I'd do to keep you mine
if I could just turn back the time.
