I am truly very sorry but this is what i have to do,
i know that it may hurt but i must forget you.

it's not because of anything you did,
but because of the secret i'm keeping hid.

the secret will bring nothing but heartache and pain,
so before it starts i must force you to refrain.

i wish it didn't have to end this way,
i will truly miss you more with each passing day.

all of this is tearing my heart at the seams,
but i know that i will still have you in my dreams.

everyone seems to be finding out,
just what my feelings are all about.

my feelings are causing too much trouble,
and may turn our friendship into a pile of rubble.
