Becoming a Teen

by geanina   Jun 12, 2008

When I wake I feel no difference,
except I know there's something in my mind
that makes me realize I'm not the same.

No longer a child,
No more " just a little kid"
With new privileges come new responsibilities.

From the "12 and under age group"
I move another step towards adulthood.
it's time for me to prove
I can contribute more to the world.

I receive different kinds of attention
from several people with changing views.
More pressure build upon my growing mind.
Other's expect more from me,
But I'm not sure, more of what?

In just one night,
my world has turned inside-out and upside-down.
It seems as if everything and everyone has been changed by one short moment.

Perhaps I'm wrong.
maybe what I feel is incorrect.
I'm so bewildered about becoming a teen.
