Just Words

by Mighty442   Jun 13, 2008

Words can never relay the things I want you to know
They are cheap and meaningless, mundane and empty
Words without a soothing voice
Phrases without a soft touch
Stories without a calming caress
My words are just a torrent that only I know
They look so plain and bleak all on their own
I love you
I need you
I want you
Are nothing without your kiss, your touch, your warmth
All my love and all my hate are just letters on a page
When I care can you tell?
When I hurt can you feel?
When I'm sad will you understand?
They are just words that can be lost
By translation, relations or irritation
So even if I'm lost without you
I hope my words can still find you
And if you try hard enough
Maybe you can find me
In these words, just words for you

I love the way this poem is written.
it's deep, inspiring, and shows our
    words have a voice attached them. .. . ..

Thats lovely, and so true. Words are really nothing unless spoken personally, showing our feeling in our voices.
Msn/txts are a good example. The same words can be taken many ways instead of how they were intended.

    Well written...

    Kevin
