Love is just a heartbreak away (Lyrics)

by Ingrid   Jun 13, 2008

Standing still in time
it all seems so out of rhyme
Just when I found some solid ground
you came and turned it around

Chorus:
Oh, love is just a heartbreak away
No matter how hard I try
It's a losing game for me
But still I keep hoping
to find that special guy one day

Being a three time loser at the game
I thought all men are the same
But you came and swept me off my feet
only to let it end in defeat

Chorus:
Oh, love is just a heartbreak away
No matter how hard I try
It's a losing game for me
But still I keep hoping
to find that special guy one day

It would be so simple to turn my back on love
but in spite of it all, it's all I can dream of
No matter how much I get hurt along the way
I keep believing I'll find my soul mate one day

Chorus:
Oh, love is just a heartbreak away
No matter how hard I try
It's a losing game for me
But still I keep hoping
to find that special guy one day

Very stunningly penned, Ingrid. I'm much for lyrics for I am known to write them also, but I haven't written one in a very long time. "Defeat", I believe, was my last song that I wrote. But I loved this. Very much. It is so true... time waits for no man, but love can. Sure it's a pressure sometimes, to know that the simplest things exist, but in a short time, they disappear... :) Love will conquer it all. I believe it. :) "Love is just a heartbreak away." Thank you for posting. It's a favorite. 5/5!

    Take care!

^I thought all men are the same^ I think the appropriate word would be were..

It looks like it would be a cute teeny bopper song with all the forced rhyming.
