this was really beautiful poem written by you i enjoyed it alot and these lines:
"It would be so simple to turn my back on love
but in spite of it all, it's all I can dream of
No matter how much I get hurt along the way
I keep believing I'll find my soul mate one day"

wow, so amazing you are indeed talented in all the fields of poetry

Very stunningly penned, Ingrid. I'm much for lyrics for I am known to write them also, but I haven't written one in a very long time. "Defeat", I believe, was my last song that I wrote. But I loved this. Very much. It is so true... time waits for no man, but love can. Sure it's a pressure sometimes, to know that the simplest things exist, but in a short time, they disappear... :) Love will conquer it all. I believe it. :) "Love is just a heartbreak away."
