Whispers in the Dark

by Silly Shae   Jun 13, 2008

Whispers in the late night dark
Listening shortly to the dogs bark
Holding on ever so tight.
Say good night to the moonlight.

Something happens we both can't describe
Like a magazine, unsubscribed,
Like an unknown force ruining our lives
Our love no longer thrives.

Your eyes avoid me in the hall
We never just stop at the mall
Your smile fades when I appear
It turns more into a sneer.

I hope someday our love will reunite
But until then I will recite
Every word that was said while the dogs barked
Whispers in the late night dark.
