Nothing to Regret?

by eR   Jun 13, 2008

Please tell me my love,
Is what you're not saying really true?
I didn't want to believe it, but now my heart-I can't retrieve it,
And with me you are through.

I knew it, I blew it.
You've got nothing to regret,
You were more than I could ask for,
And now your face I can't forget.

Pushed you out the front door,
Yet while you were left waiting on my front porch,
My heart dropped to the floor,
But too far away, you couldn't hear,
So you lit your torch,
And now you're gone my dear.

So please tell me what more I can do?
What more can I say
To make you turn,
And look back my way?

I knew it, I blew it.
You've got nothing to regret
You were more than I could ask for,
And now your face I can't forget.

I've still got so much left to say to you,
But you've turned away.. who knew, who knew?
No one's ever talked to me,
The way you do
No one's ever looked at me,
And seen right through.
No one's ever touched me,
And brightened my day..

And the one time someone did.. I pulled away.
