Back at the Beginning

Where am I going?
What do I want?
And how am I living without knowing
Cause you can't begin to write without a font.

As you began the plot,
I'd just picked up the book
And as the storyline got hot,
Your heart I unconsciously took.

How can you add Happily Ever After
Without knowing the beginning?
Been a whie since I've heard your laughter
Everything but your heart I'm winning

Although you said you'd wait for me to catch up,
You chose to read on.
And before I knew it,
I was at the climax and you had gone.

You edited and published,
And made up a new ending
In which I had been dismissed.
Now too late for any mending.

Now you've left me stranded,
Back at the Beginning..
Wherever that is,
Cause the world's constantly spinning,
Faster and faster before our eyes,
So forget the Hello's.. it's nothing but Goodbye's.
