Inspiration

You inspire me to be a poet,
and a love-sick writer of
songs,
so sad and longing.

It is a passion that you have
kindled,
so deep was it,
so strong is your pull.

But not songs of lust
or thoughts of ill
do you instill.

Thoughts of love,
and a future we could share.
This is what consumes me.

I love you.
You love me too,
I hope.
