Hurricane ((so sweet))

by StandStill   Jun 16, 2008

Soft summer rain
beats soft like a drum.
Curious fingers
push past the cold numb.

Singing so softly,
the sweet summer rain.
Did you know, my dear one,
you're the cure for my pain?

Medicine to heal a broken heart:
one strong arm around my waist.
"I love you" laughs out softly,
echoing through my sweet rain.

Darling, bring on the clouds.
Screw the sunshine, I don't need.
My broken heart is hungry,
mind to be the one to feed?

But what to do, my dear one,
when I can't really call you mine.
Hurricane blossoms from the sweet rain
thrashing the parade just in time.

Bittersweet aroma
lingers in the hurricane's arms.
Darling, mend my heart
while simultaneously causing harm...
