Knowing

by cory   Jun 16, 2008

All my life i've been searching
All humanity
Looking for someone who knows
Looking for some sanity

It will shock you
If I tell
The stories of infected cells
People live in every day
We try to make it seem ok
But inside we all know
We could never really grow

Try to be butterflies
Before we get eaten alive
While the rest of them survive
We will barely make it by

Now you try to trick yourself
Tell you that it's someone else
But inside you really know
How fast you could drop so low

Underground, out of sight
Liquid fury will ignite

Try to struggle to get out
Unseen traitor filled with doubt
You try to make it out again
But your time has just began

Clock endlessly ticking
This truth i do abhor
From my place
Sunken
Underneath the floor

I'm eagerly awaiting
The sleep that will not come
I now will start sedating
Go from hurt to feeling numb

Now I'm slowly fading
Thoughts running a muck
Feels like i'm in a movie
That keeps on getting stuck

*Incomplete*
