All Over

by Dutch   Jun 16, 2008

Theres a flicker here and there
And I follow it where it leads
I'm always afraid, but now it doesn't matter
He holds my hands and carries me across the paths i wrought
Like a gentleman
Or something like it.
There was a sweetness
Unmistakable to him.
And he carried it like a badge.
A badge everyone didnt see.
He was a mirror I bounced back from
Until I looked again
Past the glass, the cold surface
I looked into eyes that knew too much
Like mine.
And he was beautiful all over.
He was a part of me I didnt anticipate.
Not a lover.
But everything one couldnt be.
He knew me, and I wanted to know him
The way he saw through me.
I cackled in his presence
I sometimes smiled in my sleep.
And I loved that boy like more than any kind of family
He was special, and everything
I ever needed to see
He held it all in his eyes
Like I did.
And he was beautiful all over.
