Steps and Then Some

by Dutch   Jun 16, 2008

Four steps forward and two steps back
And what you have is what you lack
With that last step you pushed the first
And what was left became the worst.
But with those steps there came four more
Leaving tracks upon the floor.
Those steps they spread the fire
And the restrictions of attire
Kept me waiting here for this
Without a clue of what I miss
You missed the steps and fell behind
And lower heights of some kind
The masks upon the door in view
Hiding all those thoughts from you
Spears and tingles to my eyes
A fear for you deep down inside
Tell the truth with all your lies
And find your way around despise
For now I wait without your stare
And live a life without you there.
