Some may come and some may go
But a real good friend you'll always know
Many nice people I've met through the years
But a true friend is not easy to choose

I've got this very special friend who lives far away
Christo's his name and the most loyal of friends he's been to this day
We met twenty five years ago in the most casual of ways
We've remained best of friends right up to this day

Some of the saddest and happiest times I've spent with this man
The saddest day that comes to mind, has to be the day that we buried his dad
And I was there the day that he married Daline
What a beautiful wedding, what a wonderful scene

Some people have thought us to be brothers
And we've been considered to be mortal enemies, when looked on by others
For a strange sense of humour we always have shared
And a very special bond when we two are a pair

Broke my back one year and got shot the next
From a thousand kilometres away without any rest
At my bedside he stood the very next day
But no visit from others just down the road only meters away

These are just a few of the memories that are stuck in my mind
Of a very special friend I was so fortunate to find
So there's only one more thing that I have to say
May you have the most wonderful and blessed BIRTHDAY
