Her Colour Crimson

Imagine a world with no rainbows
Night flows dark through day
The grass always greener
When the world around is grey

A world with no rainbows
A girl laying there
One hand holds a razor
Other is playing with her hair

A world with no rainbows
Grey, black and white
She's loosing control
She's loosing her fight

A world void of rainbows
Smiles don't exist
She finds her "slice" of colour
With a razor on her wrist

Edge dances on her arm
Pulled across her skin
Red blood drips in a grey world
She finds her colour again

A world without rainbows
Her colour's all she has
She thinks it's gonna save her
From the black and white and bad

She said, "silver and red
Makes me not want to die
Kiss farewell the pain"
What a way to say goodbye

In a world with no rainbows
This girl is long since dead
Grass once was all green
Now flowing thick with red

Genesis 9:12-16
12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

(a world without rainbows-a world without god, changes the meaning of the poem a bit, reread it)
