Behind her closed door

by Darya   Jun 16, 2008

No one ever saw her
For who she really was
All they saw was her fake smile
Her makeup and clothes

They never saw her without all that
Without makeup or clothes
You can see the dark circles under her eyes
Her hidden scars and broken bones

She never stopped smiling
Because she knew
They would all see
What shes going through

When she gets home
She cuts, she cries
There is nothing else she can do
Then what shes doing now

She looks in the mirror
Hates what she sees
Blood and mascara
Dripping down to her feet

Now you know
Whats behind her door
Sadness and terror
She wishes she was cared for

It happens everyday
She keeps on living in pain
Behind her closed door
She suffers another day
