Waiting for someone to take her hand

This girl waits
alone she stands
wanting someone
to take her hand

a single tear
slips from her face
maybe its true
she has no place

Yet still she stands
with a hopefully smile
shes stood there
for awhile

as she stands
just waiting
she joins her hands
and leaves

walking away
she lets her tears drop
without a sound
they refuse to stop

she goes home
and cries
to avoid
pitying eyes
