Trust is hard to give out

It;s hard to trust even if you know you should,
You want to trust him with all you heart,
You want to trust he wouldn't purposefully hurt you.
Though, you've been hurt many times before,
And it's hard for you to believe that he cares for you,
Cares enough not to hurt you.
Even the slightest mistake of trust,
Could end in catastrophe.
So you have to be selective of who you give it to,
Don't give in so quickly.
Don't be just another girl,
That he leads on and then breaks her down.
Because then you truly have nothing left.
