We are the Poets

We are the poets, yet we are just people
We don't preach sermons under a steeple
What can't be written latter, we write now
Our thoughts have got to get out somehow

In our minds the words have always swirled
Some will make it all around the world
Others will be forgotten without a trace
Never to be shared with the human race

If we could say everything with only one word
We would use the most beautiful ever heard
No other word could be better, or rise above
The most wonderful word ever written is love
