I'm Sorry, Simplistic and True

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Jun 17, 2008

I'm at a loss for words
-Means I don't know what to say
But you don't want to hear it
So it doesn't matter anyway

I'm too numb for words
-Means my lips won't part
I want to say I'm sorry
From a cold and sorry heart

I want to say I'm sorry
I want you to know it's true
And all the crap I do or say
I wouldn't lie to you

I'm at a loss for words
Scratch a poem in this red book
You check my poems more than me
So I know you'll look

I want to say I'm sorry
I want you to know I mean it
I was being a shitty boyfriend
You won't say it, but you see it

I guess I wrote this poem
Cause I don't know what else to do
How to say I'm sorry
How to show that I love you

Nobody can be perfect, but the fact that you apologize when you screw up...it's amazing.
