Red Snow

by silvershoes   Jun 17, 2008

It was a long and hard December
From the rooftops, I remember
There was snow
Red snow

Clearly seen from open windows
Standing quiet, on my tip toes
There was snow
Red snow

I turned slow upon my mother
A silence fell, oh my brother
There was snow
Red snow

As darkness crept across the sky
I could not speak, nor ask why
There was snow
Red snow
