I saw you in my dreams (Mirror Nonet)

by Ingrid   Jun 17, 2008

I saw you in my dreams, from afar
In the soft early morning light
you came to me, arms outstretched
Halo surrounding you
adorning your face
a smile so bright
my hero
my love
you
You
my love
my hero
a smile so bright
adorning your face
Halo surrounding you
You came to me, arms outstretched
In the soft early morning light
I saw you in my dreams, from afar

A Mirror Nonet starts with a 9 syllable line, then 8 syllables until you are down to 1 and then back to 2 and so on until you end up with a 9 syllable line again.
It needs to be mirrored, but not within the line itself also, like in a Palindrome. The poem does not have to rhyme.

Ingred, Somehow between the highly intelectual concepts of your writing and the depths of your heart from which your poetry flows so freely, I always seem to be left somewhere in between unable to create a comment befitting the beauty of your expressions in verse . 5/5 ---JIM
