The Depressed Angel

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jun 17, 2008

This was written with James. http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/author.html?id=282110

He did the first two, I did the second, the did the first two lines of the last stanza, while I did the last two lines. :) Oh yeah, I also came up with the last line for the second stanza.

The depressed angel sits all alone
With scars upon her face
Her life has been a living hell
Since she has fallen from grace

Her halo does not shine
And she has broken wings on her back
Just like the shadows in the night
Her soul has turned to black

A heart so pure now laced with hate
Her voice so pure is missing
A soul so sweet used to care
But now it's only hissing

The greatness she once possessed
Is nothing but a lovely thought
She lost her path along the way
And forgot all that she taught

This lonely depressed angel
with all her memories on her face
Has fallen from heaven
And cant seem to find her place

This was pretty deep. Wonderful collaboration though; however. You both did a excellent job with contributing sadness to this poem. It was a nice write. I liked it. 5/5.

Strong opening stanza it was good. It really drew me in to reading more, like most of your poems do ^.^

I can really clearly imagine this angel. I loved the title as well. How can an angel be depressed? But she is, and the way you and James put her off was amazing. Different and kudos for that. This was a good poem. Different but in a good way. Such emotion and passion flew through this. Amazing. I loved it. This kind of reminds me of a fallen angel. well the stages of angels before you fall. First you get depressed as a depressed angel then you fall and turn in to a fallen angel. Good job! 5/5
