Nice poem and a good topic =] |
Wow. i remember hearing about that. it's amazing that someone would care so much to write a poem on such a loss. i think you are truly talented =] |
Such a great poem dedicated to what happened. To the horrible flooding in the midwest. This was so great how you put everything that happened exactly as it said in the news, but in a poetic form. I admit that would be very hard to do. So props to you for that. I enjoyed reading this. But I also felt sad about what happened. I could feel the emotions of all the people that were there. That had to leave everything they owned to find a safer place, leave their lives forever. That was so sad. Good poem! |

I loved this. It was one of the best I've read that's been based on an actual event. I liked how it seemed kind of like a story, but it was still poetic at the same time. I really liked the way you wrote it, and the words you used to write it. It's sad, the events, but I think it was a very good idea to write a poem about it, to bring it to the attention of others who may be unaware of the devastation. |

I love the rain, it lifts my spirit. especially here in old Indiana. Rain brings out every teen and puts the adults away to sleep. every one gets closer. Girls find a guy and guys find a girl. it is like an eye opener, and you can't resist it when it rains. there is something special about meeting in the rain. let alone kissing in the rain. it is just something special. |

This poem highlights the fact that we cannot take nature for granted. Sure we all love the sun, but drought?? We love the cool breese, but hurricanes and twisters?? Snow, blizzards, avalanches?? Rain, well, you have clearly highlighted this one!! |
Again excellent. You seem to pick one topic and just delve deep into the middle of the subject and you relay facts as well as your own opinion. Another poem that sparked my brain into overdrive on this matter. You are a very talented writer. (5/5) |
WOW This is like a reality poem , if you could bomb this poem for the midwest I wonder what you could've done for the Hurricane Katrina. |
It was kick ass. :D I love how you didn't write about a living thing this time, but something that can create as many heart breaks as a person could. It was really great. The rhyming was pretty good too. Five out of five. |

I think best poems are from memory of your life, about yourself or something that is important to you or to someone else that you want to write about and this is what you did. This was wonderful poem but a very sad of what happened. Its such a lost when it happens specially flooding. |
