Intertwined.

Seraph wants an Angel's wings
to fly above the world.
Find love that sways every evil,
find a once forgotten girl.

When Seraph finds what it seeks,
only then will it thrive.
A hand of anger, thrown ahead.
It's there that hatred lies.

"Angel, dear, I'll steal your wings;
I'll drink your blood and fly.
The colors that form inside my heart
are waiting until you die."

When Seraph holds that one true being
with wings as heavy as lead,
Tears that dropped like cold diamonds
Will kill her life instead.

But Angel, my Angel, why live like this,
why touch what isn't real?
"I never wanted to understand,
I never wanted to feel.
If only I could have held your hand,
and if only my blood would flow,
this interconnected vein of ours
would have never let us go."

Seraph lives a life to hide
where nightmares are peeking through.
Angel holds her hands out wide
to help him find the truth.
With screams that pierce his broken heart,
The torture he's always yearned for
Seraph waits amidst destruction.
Aching for something more.

As Angel's wings are ripped apart,
Seraph realizes he cannot be freed
Wings lit with dreams and hopes
Are his only make-believe.

And as Angel's wings are shattering now
Falling from the sky
Seraph touches to feel love for once,
A dream before he dies.

This was a truly beautiful write. I haven't commented a poem in a long time. But this was really worth the read. The whole concept of your characters being Seraph and Angel - creative. I absolutely loved this poem. Never stop writing. =]
