That One Special Night

by Anthony Duvalle   Jun 18, 2008

You stay no more than a step behind
But are gone at no time in my mind
Not a more beautiful sight can I find
Before we met my eyes had been blind

Everyday with the warm sun you rise
Next to me, bringing the shine to my eyes
Our two woven hearts could never divide
Sewn together by a million lovely ties

I would hand you my soul in a ring
If you would just use one cliche saying
I Do. Two hearts tied by a golden string
Your mouth shut. You didn't say a thing

After that fateful night I was petrified
I lost you and lost a perfect bride
I have not wept much but that night I cried
That night that you and my soul died
