Blunders Of The Eagles

by gracey grey   Jun 19, 2008

What do you do then
When what quenches your thirst
Has all but run dry
To hang on a thread
When all hope is gone

Cry, do you just cry
Let tears ease the pain
Comfort do you get
Do answers unfold
Do you cringe to fall

Friends, foes, families
Intertwined life lines
Promises afire
Fading by and by
Is this all in vain

Tried tasted humans
Faces everywhere
Voices calling out
Rendered help lays strewn
Is there one to trust

Vented emotions
Made up concoctions
Suppressed devotions
Fatal assumptions
Flutters all around

Fake humanity
Smiles fixed with dentures
Eyes just a show piece
Words sharp as daggers
Another blunder

What do you do then
When all hope is gone
Do you still hang on
On a thread weakening
Or do you just cry
