Angels Suffer The Most.

by Roxy   Jun 19, 2008

Their silent cries sweep through the desolate night.
And their wings crumble whilst they try to take flight.
Their lips mummble the words they are afraid to speak.
Their bones break, so fragile, so weak.

They try their hardest to make our own pain fade away.
Though they are the ones suffocating more each day.
And their delicate hands reach out for all of us to hold.
They help us through as we grow old.

Their gentel faces always seem to give off a bright light.
No matter the pain they are willing enough to fight.
The burden they carry upon their soft feathered wings.
To see them fall apart and the horror that it brings...

Wow, you have made quite the improvement since I last read your work, it is a strong and stirring piece with a simple style and rhyme scheme and a far more complex meaning. I love it.
