Devil In Your Head

by Aryaan   Jun 20, 2008

Every morning you wake out of the sleep
But there lies the devil down in the deep
You're nourishing him dearly, instead of shed
With your malicious mind, he is doing the tread

Everyday you walk on the same street
Ready for the same people to greet
You act so well, you try to be under the shade
You're numb with your disguise as devil got the blade

You follow the same old routine
Kill the love and lust begins
Some moment or other you want someone dead
Feeble by your thought, there's a devil in your head

You are jealous to the heart's core
You can't accept some one gets more
You're just another one in this false parade
And the devil laughs in your head

This journey just goes through
He lives and dies only with you
When the day is done, you're down to bed
The devil sleeps with you in your head

I really liked this. I could really feel the devil leading me astray! I could feel the emphasis on the hypocrisy of portraying ones self to be different than what one actually is. Great write and imagery.

"The world is a stage "where we all sadly take part in "false parade"letting the devil get the better of us.Nice very nice insight to ones own soul.Loved the last stanza and welcome back.......keep writing.
