Heartbreak at the Wedding

I wrote this from a girl's perspective....

It's been almost 20 years
Yet, it felt like it was yesterday
Standing in front of me
Is the guy whom I gave my heart away

He looks so happy
I wish you could see his smile
Why wouldn't he be?
The girl he loves, is right by his side...

Memories of us
Begin to rush through my head
& I start to remember
Those "I love you" words he once said

Thinking about it now
I realize he's always been the guy
The one whom I love so much
I swear for him, I'd die...

And at this wedding today,
I think I'm falling for him again...
But slowly, l feel my heart breaks
As I witness him marrying my best friend...
