Run Deep: Part Three

by Sora   Jun 20, 2008

Almost every night she dreams about him,
Her heart is broken, and cannot mend without him.
He was picture perfect in every way,
And the pain runs deeper everyday.

She looks at his picture and touches his face,
Wondering, what it's like to be in that place?
So happy and so painless,
But the soul she speaks of, shall remain nameless.

Tears come almost every night,
Right after she goes to bed and turns out the lights.
Sobs get deeper, cries get loud,
As her heart starts to beat at an unsteady pound.

She waits impatiently for the day she sees him again,
And they start off where it shouldn't have end.
She wishes he was here to hold his daughter for the first time,
But knows it's impossible, except for in her mind.

She knows she'll see him again one day,
And all the pain and sorrow will fade away.
For until then he's in her heart,
No matter the distance they are apart.

Ashlei.
