Dreams or Reality?

This poem is a collab with Jen, here's her profile:

She wrote the 1st, 3rd, and last stanza, and I wrote the 2nd and 4th.

I wake up staring at the ceiling.
Did it really happen?
I felt his soft lips against mine.
I know it did or did it?

We were just dancing underneath the stars,
Our fingers were intertwined.
As we swayed to the beat of the music,
I felt your soft warm lips touch my rosy cheek.

Ooo, it felt so good,
I almost died inside.
I couldn't believe it was actually happening...
But I don't know if it did.
Did it happen? Or was it a dream?

As you kissed my cheek,
I felt like I was on cloud nine.
I was dancing with the man of my dreams,
and it was more than I could imagine.

You gave me the best feeling ever,
real or not, I don't care!
I want to say it was more than a fantasy.
I just can't tell if they're dreams or reality.

I loved the imagery that was created here with your words because I could imagine it all clearly in my head. You both took a even that happens to everyone and made it a beautiful epxerianced. It has happened to me many times that I wake up thinking did that really happen or was I dreaming? You both did an amazing job and your styles complimented each other.

My thing that rubbed me the wrong way was descibing his lips as soft in two places. Try using a different word like gentle or something like that.

Other than that beautifully done you two!

    *5/5*

This was really cute! I loved the contrast of emotions, too. Like, how you were certain that you loved him, but weren't sure if you even shared a tender moment with him. Very good.
