The Dormancy of Fall and The Growth of Spring

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jun 20, 2008

The dormancy of fall is similar to death.
It's peaceful and beautiful in its own unique way.
The growth of spring is similar to life.
It's vibrant and breathtaking like nothing else.

The pain of death is similar to heartbreak.
It hurts like nothing else.
The happiness of life is similar to love.
It heals like nothing else.

The loneliness of heartbreak is similar to depression.
It leaves you to die alone.
The security of love is similar to understanding.
It helps you learn while you have time.

The emptiness of depression is similar to fall.
It seems to have everything lost.
The fullness of understanding is similar to life.
It seems to have everything found.

The dormancy of fall is similar to death.
It's peaceful and beautiful in its own unique way.
The growth of spring is similar to life.
It's vibrant and breathtaking like nothing else.

Oh my goodness! My Jenny <3 I am so proud of you. This poem is amazing. I love the repititon of the first stanza as the last stanza. Some freaking amazing metaphors. Holy crap. Nice work! 5/5 =)
