Begging for Forgiveness

by The Angel of Secrets   Jun 20, 2008

Made by bones, made by love,
Molded by the Lords own hands.
Holy powers combined from above,
There the human naked stands.

Made without faults, never to sin,
Be aware of the forbidden fruit.
Never to lose, never to win,
Made for the grand design to suit.

But eaten was the apple, the sin was made,
And the heavens rage was felt.
The innocence and beauty started to fade,
Beaten by an angry and hurtful belt.

The years passed, the humans war started,
The purity of heaven was nowhere to be found.
The love from the skies had soon departed,
The pain and the blood hit the ground.

But God did not give up his people, his earth,
He said he loved us all no matter what we did.
Said he'd bere there from death to birth,
His love and powers would never be hid.

All we had to do was believe, in the powers and the love,
And even if we didn't, he'd still care.
Him and his angels far above,
He would help us when we couldn't bare.

Along the darknesses road there came a girl,
She walks with blood on a well used knife.
She walks alone in the whole, wide world,
Having seen to much, hating her life.

For all the days she had felt the pain,
She had looked up to the sky and prayed.
Nothing came down, other than rain,
And by God she was abandoned, betrayed.

Stabbed in the back by the Lord of all,
She sees there are no heavens for her to reach.
She knows that angels fly, don't fall,
The others don't understand, no need for a speech.

She'd rather go to hell at this point,
It can't be much worse than this anyway.
She knows she has no Gods to disappoint,
But she's alright, she's OK.

She knows when she looks up to the sky,
She wishes she knew He was watching over her.
She always wonders to herself, "Why?",
Wondering why they are, why they were.

Where were you the day I washed the blood of the floor?
Where were you the day, I lost myself?
Where were you the day, I screamed I couldn't take it anymore?
Where were you when I hated life itself?

Why didn't you wipe her tears with the light?
Why didn't you tell me where to find the comfort I needed?
Why didn't you listen when I screamed I didn't want to fight?
Why didn't you stop the pain when the blade proceeded?

Perhaps humans were made to second guess,
And feel strong by accepting God's love, feel fine.
But I shouldn't ask for God's forgiveness,
He should be begging for mine.

Wow, the third and second to last stanzas are always going to leave an impact on my brain. i especially loved the last line, memorable! sometimes i find myself trying to reason with God too and fighting my own inner bottles. 5/5 all the way. i know i don't know you, but i believe in you and that your stronger than most.

Woah, holy shit! This was truly amazingly written, and such power! Damn! That was just brilliant. I am a buddhist, so I don't believe in God, but I can see where you are coming from. Makes you feel like you are not good enough, or what?
Remember honey, you can do this, make it happen! I believe in you!
