Lost Love's Ghost

by AmberSherrellxxIve Been Sitting Here Trying To Find Myselfxx   Jun 21, 2008

She stares out the window with headphones in
Lost in the memories that she just can't forget
Lyrics singing the way her heart is feeling
Heart is shattered and thoughts are wheeling

Two long years of precious wasted time
Unable to get away from the scenes in her mind
Unable to disregard the sound of your voice
Unable to forget that it wasn't her choice

All of her colors have faded to black
Her love is gone and she can't get it back
Her heart is broken and blood still flows
She still loves you and everyone knows

You killed her and you killed her well
For you she wished she never would've fell
Now she sits here, trying not to cry
Only to remember your bitter goodbye

She turns the volume up to drown out her pain
Trying not to lose the control she fought so hard to gain
But the screaming can't drown out the silence in her heart
Deep inside she's bleeding, every single part

She stares out the window with headphones in
Coming to the conclusion that she just can't win
You were the part of her that she needed most
Now your memory is lingering, lost love's ghost
