Fact

by InvisiblyHeartless   Jun 21, 2008

To kill a mocking bird says (atticus told me to delete adjectives and i have the facts)

If every word that passed between us
Had the purpose to praise and glorify
I wouldn't be human, so superficial.
We delete the wrongs we commit
All the words that should be forsaken
Are still used to offend and hurt
Deleting the adjectives is deleting the past
All the problems we had with each other
Instead of getting to the facts,
We hung on the painful adjectives
But it boils down to the fact,
We are sisters by blood, mean of course
Somewhere inside it kills you and I
To know what the fact is,
And what it has ungratefully become
I'm sorry for everything I've done
Can we just start with the facts,
Permanently deleting the adjectives inside?
