Let me dress your wounds

by Ash   Jun 21, 2008

Let me dress your wounds of despair,
Keep you holding onto realities profound care.
Within simplicity lies a teardrop true,
Is this the way you once knew?

The distance is what it takes,
A few seconds alone may mend or break,
What's left but an exorbitant feast,
Of feelings that could not be released.

Time would heal all wounds that erupted through each day,
Found silently walking along unknown worlds to weigh,
Between life and limb the paths divulge,
Entering into pits wherein mortals indulge.

Let's watch the waves crash with each sound,
Breaking and brandishing as the mourners pound,
Fists and tears that fall silently with the soul long gone,
Beyond this earthly plain - through the heavens now drawn.

Great was the suffering upon this earth,
Scattered ashes with a soul now put to rest - a new rebirth?
Would it take form in those creatures that remain in demise,
For those sins accumulated - now all realize.

It's a task that one must acquire,
The strength to fight through each obstacle - do not tire.
Life may throw upon you what may be lost,
But strength is what remains inside - neatly embossed.
