From Loss to Love

by StandStill   Jun 21, 2008

Once upon a time,
in a land of misery and pain,
was born a lovely lion
who as a lamb was slain.

Spiderwebs of lies-
too sad, too heavy a heart.
In the land of once upon a times
an exodus did start.

Funny how a pharoh
can be found in many forms.
Lightning, thunder, hail, and sleet...
wretched metaphoric storms

But once came a lovely one
who loved, died, rose again.
An exodus, no metaphoric lies
and he battled back the rains.

Maybe once upon a time
isn't trapped in yesteryear...?
An exodus from loss to love:
it's every day, my dear.

"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost and now I'm found"
