The Investigator, "Pandemonium"

by Kik   Jun 22, 2008

"Sent off to controversy to fight for the adversary,
The thought is stimulating and somewhat frightening and scary,
In the bottom of your thoughts,
It's righteous,
Somewhat pious,
The noble and courageous aspect of life,
Taking it not by steps but by full strifes,
Mind meets pandemonium,
Which meets chaos,
Heading over seas,
When is this going to pay off,
Maybe never,
Will I die,
How will I be remembered,
Body in full or dismembered,
I've been crying and whining my days away,
Remembering days of past grades,
For now my life is devoted to violence,
Guns knives and razorblades,
Only a few know what I'm feeling,
All don't how I feel like dealing,
With my life of mixed emotions now,
I want to rise to be the hero of the hour,
But how,
When I feel like a coward,
Say goodbye to my parents,
My family,
My daughter dear Ericka,
Im just the typical pre-war soldier of America"
-Pandemonium Part 1

Investigator says:
What do you know about war?
Why do you even care?
What do you write about it for?
You were never there,
You wrote a poem about emotions,
You have never experienced before,
It's horrible to be someone you're not,
And the worse thing is,
That you write about it a lot,
Man I could pick you apart,
I mean it's not very hard,
Because your poems aren't art,
Another thing is,
Where is the meter?
This poem's rhythm,
goes back and forth,
Like from south to north,
And what do you know about life?
You're only fifteen,
You're still being taken care of,
Following your parent's routine,
So quit writing about war,
You don't know the half of it,
So don't write about it anymore...

I Say:
I know they say,
If you haven't been there,
You know nothing about war,
But I try to explore,
Because it's interesting,
I write what I want,
Just to be blunt,
And I don't care about meter,
It makes it sound better,
And flow better for the reader,
But it might take away from my message,
Because I will get sidetracked,
And you know the presage...
