This Summer Night

This Summer Night

This summer night with a woman
That I care about so much
You make it all worthwhile at times
You always teach me something
All the time, walking side-by-side
With you together
never making me feel
like I"m being taught

it's lonely at times
the prospect of being without you
why not run now
over facing that tomorrow?

I'll keep today
The warmth, the spirit
Something that can't be described
Is what carries me through to that tomorrow

Something in your brown eyes
the gentle light
That somehow exposes all of me
There is no hiding from that warm light
Only a fool would run from that now

I'd rather walk with you
Smiling and laughing
Taking in all the views
Hoping that I can show you something new
With the one constant
And that's that I love you.

The only thing that I did not like is that it didn't rhyme. But I can't take anything from that cuz that's your style, and you should stick to that. I actually read the whole thing and enjoyed it.
