Mankind

by Sean Allen   May 31, 2004

Ungodly rage;
Consuming everything internal,
Melting it all down.
Simplify, simplify.

What is left now?
Hollow, empty shells,
And a finger to
Pull the trigger.

And that sick downpour
That makes us all men of mud.
Melts us all away
And leaves behind our naked bones.

Gleaming white
Sun bleached cold.
Always grinning now,
The rain is gone.

Who can see clearly
When the dirt
Is my eyes?

Least favorite or not, that was an enjoyable poem. And Johnny Ace's comment was best left unnoticed. It's one thing to critique, and then there's another one to just be nasty. His comment was in poor taste.

Ouch lol i did not notice Johnny Ace's comment until now. Hm well the thing I find most ironic is he chose to read and comment on one of my least favorite works. To all those silly people out there: I don't love my work, think it is perfect, or even enjoy all of it. Gosh lol he commented a while ago...
