The Forgotten Soul

by Daniel Milano   Jun 22, 2008

Wrists cut, hearts beating,
On the floor, torn hair and hardly breathing,
A victim of society,
Alcohol's puppet entirely, lacking sobriety,
Showing only a little emotion,
And always kept the rest inside,
Abandoned by his friends,
And was left to die.

He used to have it all,
But like the waves of the ocean,
Every big wave has to fall,
Drugs can be harmful,
It depends on whose hands their in,
He thought he had control and could handle it,
He owned a massive company,
Dealers would often say, if your ever struggling,
You can come to me,
And that's what he did,
It starts with a taste,
It can ruin you, no matter,
How long it takes.

The clouds were cold and grey,
Happiness ceased to exist,
The man I once knew, took his life on that day,
With a knife to the wrist...
