Pretty Purple Flowers

I dream for a simpler time
When you could dance in rain
Spin until you fall
Play from dawn to dust
And never get tried
Chase butterflies all day
Even if we did not catch any
it was a great day
Walking through the woods for hours
Imaging we where millions of miles away
Uncomplicated days
When things like hate and defeat did not exist
And heartbreak was unknown of
When all that was on my mind was
Pretty purple flowers
Pretty purple flowers
Pretty purple flowers
Well I have had enough
Waiting for childhood
to come flying back to life
I am going to take it back
Laugh as loud as I can
Scream blissfully until I cant talk anymore
Play forever remember the joy of the simple times
Forget being a grown up
All I want is pretty purple flowers
Forever and ever
I am tried of drive past the flowers
Anyone care to stop and join me?

**When I was young we always drove past this pact of road that was next to a huge field full of purple flowers

I always sang when we drove past that spot

Dance dance dance
Through the fields of
Pretty purple flowers
Pretty purple flowers
Pretty purple flowers
All I want is pretty purple flowers
Please mamma plmomma

I always asked to stop and pick them we never did**
